Just Cause 2 is My Favorite Game
Guys, meet Rico!... our main character of Just Cause 2!... Well, he doesn't look so happy about it, though...
Just Cause 2, yes... I just can't stop playing it, i even think it needed a whole year to get 100% achievement on this game... lol :D. Right now i'm only got 68% completion, with the main storyline already complete so i'm currently playing the mercenary mode.
For those who didn't know about this game, well that's too bad. So i'm gonna tell you a little detail about this game. Just Cause 2 is an open world action-adventure game. It means that you given a total freedom to explore the game world without worrying about the main storyline, and that's what makes it fun as you can do whatever you want in this game. So, to put it easy : Rico is the main character that you'll have to control throughout the game.
He has a grappling gun always ready on his hand, and this grappling gun is a really fun thing to use, you can shoot it and attach it to any building, any trees, any land and you can swing away just like spiderman. When i say spiderman, yes i really mean it, and i think you can even do better than that. The grappling gun also can be use to attach object to object, and it's really great. You can try attaching your enemy behind your car and drag him around, and you'll know what i mean.
"This is my playground, yes... But wouldn't it be better if i could own a hotel or two, instead of swinging around" Rico's mumbling...
The other thing that makes this game really fun is the explosion. Yes, it's great when you see the gas station explode, vehicles, the comm tower, the SAM site, and all kind of thing that could explode in the real world, also could explode here too, of course with bigger boom. And that's what you'll do throughout the game... causing CHAOS, you earn point and money for blowing things up, destroying enemy facility and all kind of chaos that you can think of will help you progress through the game. And i say it once again... man, this is really fun.
Rico also has his parachute always ready on his back, and everytime you fall from a very high place you can always count on his parachute. It's also an incredible tool to use, since this parachute is unlimited and you can pull it out over and over again when you need it.
At a time like this you should pull out you parachute or else you'll end up flat on the ground...
The main storyline in Just Cause 2 is not so special, it's kind of humorous agency story, with weird enemy that you should kill at the end, but that doesn't bother me too much, because the gameplay is too good and fun.
Dying isn't the thing that you should be afraid of in this game, your health replenish over time but if your body damaged too much you still need to use the health medkit. And if you actually die on this game, you will respawn at your ally stronghold, or if you are on a mission, you will respawn at the beginning of that mission.
Your adventure in Panau Island (fictional island where you play in this game) won't be a boring and easy one, you will have to get rid of the government army that always trying to rip your head off, but you given advantage by your grappling gun and loads of great weapon that you can upgrade using your CHAOS point. There also a lot of vehicles that you can ride in this game, including car, motorcycle, boat, helicopter, plane, in case you want to travel far away, and i tell you that this Panau island is REALLY BIG, and the weather is varied in each area.
With superb graphics it's easy to lost in this fictional world...
So, to sum it up... If you want a game that you can play in and explore the game world freely, and destroy your enemy facility, blow it up with a very satisfying way, and in my taste it's better than GTA IV (in gameplay aspect, not in the main storyline aspect) this game is exactly for you. Just Cause 2. And now, let me play this game some more... :D
